Local man in custody for kidnapping
“Hancock County Sheriff’s officers apprehended Pearl River County resident James Harold Smith, 41-years-of-age, Wednesday night, after an extensive search in Hancock County side of Hwy 43 and charged with two counts of kidnapping in Pearl River County,” said Major Donnie Saucier of the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.
On Wednesday, Picayune Police Department officers were dispatched to a local tobacco store located on Mississippi Highway 43 North, in response to an armed robbery, which ended in a high-speed chase into Louisiana, said Picayune Police Department Deputy Chief Chad Dorn.
