Picayune City Council meets Tuesday

PICAYUNE The Picayune City Council meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the new City Hall, 815 N. Beech St.

Included on the agenda are:

Consider minutes of the previous meeting.

Consider the docket.

Consider old business:

— Appointment to the Planning Commission.

— Appointment to the Housing Board.

Consider new business:

— Request by PYAA to name a softball field for Laken Lumpkin.

— Request to abandon an alley at 507 and 514 E. 3rd St.

— Agreement for Hartman Engineering Inc. to provide professional services in preparing an application to FEMA/MEMA for hazard mitigation grant funds for drainage improvements.

— Bids for construction of the Industrial Park access road for the AGT project.

—Request for cash No. 5 for MDA construction services for fire station and fire station access road.

— Advertise for bids for airport improvements, helicopter pad, generator and drainage at the airport.

— Bids for sewer evaluation survey project.

— Request to set date for a public hearing for property cleanup.

— Request by Terry Davis for water service at 133 Luther Davis Rd.

— Request to surplus a 1979 American LaFrance 1250 pumper fire truck and a 1994 Ford F-350 fire/rescue truck.

— Accept donation of $300 from Southern Natural Gas Co. to the fire department.

— T-hanger lease by Thomas Cuni.

Miscellaneous council members’ business.

Citizens’ concerns.

Consider going into executive session on contractual matters concerning land and deed dispute and on bond issues, and on possible litigation concerning a tax matter.

Adjourn.
