Government sells about 2,300 storm trailers

LUMBERTON The federal government is continuing to auction travel trailers left in Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina.

The trailers were used as temporary housing in the aftermath of the 2005 storm.

Going into the fall, the Federal Emergency Management Agency had about 3,000 trailers to unload. Acccording to The Hattiesburg American, the government has sold just over 2,300 following weekly auctions rotating through five locations.
