Picayune school board meets today

PICAYUNE The school board for the Picayune Municipal Separate School District meets at 6 p.m. today in their boardroom at the district’s central offices, 706 Goodyear Blvd.

Included on the agenda are:

Consider the agenda.

Consider minutes of the Oct. 10 meeting.

Senior project presentations by:

— Kasey Mitchell

— Katie Herling and Amber Everett.

Presentations by architect David Landry of Landry & Lewis.

— Multi-purpose building at Nicholson Elementary.

— Relocate portable building/ramp at Nicholson Elementary.

— Early Head Start.

Consider Mississippi local education agency plan for highly qualified teachers.

Consider consent items:

— Obsolete items.

— Out-of-state travel requests.

Consider grant application for Education for Homeless Children and Youth.

Consider request from West Side Elementary PTO to build a pavilion.

Consider requests:

— PMHS track uniforms.

— PMHS boys soccer uniforms.

Consider waiver for graduation requirements.

Superintendent’s update.

Board members’ comments.

Consider going into executive session on a legal matter and on a personnel matter.

Adjourn.
