Man found guilty in four year old murder

Associated Press

Pascagoula Fifty-year-old Cleveland Palmer has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Glen “Chew” Manning four years ago this month.

Jackson County Circuit Judge Robert Krebs sentenced Palmer Thursday immediately after the eight-woman, four-man jury delivered a guilty verdict. Palmer will not be eligible for parole for at least 15 years.

Palmer and Manning were neighbors in Pascagoula on Oct. 26, 2004, the night Manning was shot in the side and later died at a local hospital.
