A Meridian police officer has been acquitted of charges he contributed to the delinquency of a minor.
Keith Moody was arrested while he was reportedly attending a party at a home on July 19 in which several youths under the legal age limit were found to be drinking alcoholic beverages.
During a court appearance Tuesday, Moody entered a not guilty plea. After hearing the case, a Lauderdale County Justice Court Judge acquitted Moody.
As for his status with the Meridian Police Department, Chief Benny DuBose says Moody remains on administrative leave without pay.
