Petal officers cleared of wrongdoing

— The Forrest County District Attorney’s Office has cleared two Petal police officers implicated in an excessive force complaint.
The complaint stemmed from a disorderly conduct charge against Frederick Russell.
Russell alleged that he was assaulted by officers when he was pulled over for a seat belt violation last week.
