Item photos by Jeremy Pittari A Relay for Life celebration of life brought a number of Pearl River County residents to Jack Reed Park Friday afternoon. The events started at First Baptist Church and continued in the Park. Bottom Left, survivors line up before they take their first lap on Goodyear Boulevard. From left to right are Brooklyn Fitzgerald and Josh Guidry as the two youngest survivors along with one of Guidry’s family members, Miram Van-Scoter as the oldest survivor in the center, Freda Cooley as the longest survivor and Ronnie Rodriguez as the newest survivor. The celebration in the park brought family members — young and old — closer together and bonded the community in the fight against cancer.
