Re: 306 Highway 11 South Building in Picayune
Even if rental spaces are vacant, I still have to pay the City’s utility bill for each space. At that rate, my utilities are $4,800; whereas, taxes on my building are $4,500.
I have put three (3) meters and replumbed my building at my expense. With all three (3) meters, I have had the same problem with the City — I paid for the meter and the City took a long time to install it. The last meter took 46 days to be put in after I paid the $500 charge.
I have lost three (3) tenants in the process because the City could not tell me when the meters were going to be put in.
I adjusted my last bill. On the one it took them 46 days to put in, the City charged me for utilities because the meter was not in. That was not my fault.
Please look into these charges. This policy needs to be corrected.
