Thomas Sowell knows his stuff

I have been meaning to write to thank the management of the Picayune Item for including the writings of Dr. Thomas Sowell in your editorial pages.

Mr. Sowell’s doctorate in Economics and life experience enable him to dissect and analyze our nations economic and social problems and he has the common sense and writing skills to explain them to average folk. I am very appreciative of his courage, honesty, fairness, and informed opinions when discussing subjects related to ethnicity.

I don’t know that Dr. Sowell has ever had political ambitions and at age 79 he is probably too old now to make a run but he is one of a very few men that I would be proud to call Mr. President.
