Plan to have Vets pay for service related injuries no good

The Picayune Item

PICAYUNE Editor:

If you are angry at the AIG bonus debacle and have any anger left may I direct it towards the proposal being consider by the Obama White House.

The admistration wants to save $540,000,000 by having veterans pay for service related injuries and sicknesses with private health insurance.

One of the worthy uses of this money saved will be the $530,000,000 increase in federal funding for the Detroit School System, a system that prepares less that %5 of it’s students for college, a system that can’t account for over $50,000,000 of existing funds.

The lack of respect and appreciation towards our veterans is only exceeded by the idiocy of pouring vast amounts of money into a disfunctional school system.
