P.S. Take My Hand: former resident returns for book signing

By Ginger Schmidt
Lifestyles editor

PICAYUNE Brandi Albritton will be in Picayune this weekend to sign copies of her book P.S. Take My Hand.

Albritton moved to Picayune when she was four months old, and lived here for 21 years. This weekend she will return as an author signing copies of her first book.

Albritton describes the book as a collection of diary entries from her journal when she was younger. She hopes to reach out to other young people and offer them hope by sharing her very real and personal experiences as a teenager.

As a successful Realtor in Gulfport and a mother of two, Albritton feels writing this book has gotten her through some difficult times in her life. Going through her boxes of short stories, poems and free verse, she surprised herself at some of things she had written at such an early age. Albritton is grateful she has come out of darkness with a beautiful family, home and career.

Albritton is happy with all the positive feedback she has received from readers, and can't wait to get started on another book. She is also working on a few songs, using her words as lyrics.

Albritton will be at PJ's Coffee in downtown Picayune on March 8, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. She will also be at Barnes & Noble in Gulfport at the Crossroads Shopping Mall on March 29, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Copies of her book are available online at www.publishamerica.com.
