PICAYUNE — Children’s International Medical Group is proud to announce the opening of their pediatric clinic in Picayune. The clinic is one of many throughout La. and Miss. which brings compassionate care centered around pediatric patients and the community in which they live. In addition to Dr. Abiodun Balogun, Children’s International Medical Group has added Christopher Fletcher, APRN, CPNP-PC on staff, available immediately to see patients. Fletcher has 11 years experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Departments at Chalmette Medical Center, The Louisiana Heart Hospital, and Ochsner Medical Center North Shore. He and his wife, Melanie, live in Picayune with their three children: Tyler, Cole, and Laney. Fletcher says, “I am excited to be able to practice in the community where my family and I live. It is a privilege to be able to use my knowledge and skills to contribute to my hometown. It is a feeling like no other. “The trait I most appreciate about Children’s International Medical Group is the devotion to its staff and patients. We are truly like a family and patients are brought into that family. That translates to assurance when a parent brings their most cherished possession to us to treat.” Children’s International Medical Group had all hands on deck at the opening day of baseball season at Friendship Park. The Group sponsored a team and set up a table to give information and provide face painting for onlookers. Many parents came to get their team symbol and child’s jersey number painted on. The clinic will also be hosting an art contest with the winner to receive a weekend to a Biloxi hotel and $100 gift card. The winner will be revealed at the clinic grand opening which will be held on April 30th from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Children’s International Medical Group is located at 1016 Sixth Ave., Suite A.
