Detectives with the Picayune Police Department are investigating a suspected homicide that is suspected to have occurred Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Justin Nixon of Picayune. His remains were found behind a home on Jarrell Street Wednesday afternoon.

While no arrests have been made in relation to this case at press time, a person of interest is in custody on unrelated offenses.
