Funeral Services for Huey Pierce Stockstill Sr., age 79 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, will be heldFriday, February 6, 2015, at 2:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Wayne Stockstill, and Rev. Josh Braddy will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS, he was the Founder of Huey Stockstill, Inc. Huey was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavelle W. Stockstill and Lula Spiers Stockstill; and his brothers, Merle Stockstill, Charles Ray Stockstill, B.F. Stockstill, and L.W. Stockstill Jr.; his sister in law Kay Stockstill; and his brother in law, Al Norwood.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gayle Burge Stockstill; his children, Ricky (Lynne) Stockstill, Suzy (Buddy) McDonald, Huey (Rocky) Stockstill Jr., David (Page) Stockstill; his 9 grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Quave, Emily (Josh) Nowell, Erin (Ryan) Detillier, Lyann (Daniel) Davis, Huey Stockstill, III, Grey Stockstill, Laura Ann Stockstill, Gavin Stockstill, and Caroline Stockstill; his 5 great grandchildren, Claire and Carlie Jo Quave, Leah and Lana Davis, and Samuel Nowell; his sisters, Nelda Norwood, Jo (Jim) Appleby, and Jane (Bill) Powe; his brother, Rev. Wayne (Gloria) Stockstill; his sister in law, Sybil Stockstill; his cousin, Melva (Carl) Smallwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
