Calling for former Rosie the Riveters

Published 7:00 am Saturday, November 1, 2014

During WWII the men went overseas to fight and the women had to work in the factories to produce our weapons.
I am looking for any women that worked in the factories as Rosie the Riveter or any other job during WWII. The ladies served a very important role and helped the United States win the war. If you had a job in the factories, please ca1l 60l-916-1280, Bill Beacht.
The Veterans Parade will be on Tuesday Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. starting on Goodyear Blvd. near the school to Hwy. II to West Canal St. and back to Goodyear Blvd.
We will have a special antique military vehicle, such as weapons carrier or duce, to provide a ride for the women during the parade. Please come out and join the veterans during the parade so we can honor you. We are asking the public to come out and line the streets to honor our veterans. Kids, bring your bag to catch the candy and toy soldiers.
