Homer Richard Buffalo

Born February 3, 1928 in Muscogee, Okla., to Cherokee Father, Abb Joseph Buffalo and English Mother, Hettie Lou Wyatt. Mr. Buffalo served four years during WWII in the Army Air Corps as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company until transferring to New Orleans in 1963 to work for Martin Marietta in support of the Space Shuttle until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed retirement helping family, friends and feeding his backyard wildlife until his passing.

A memorial graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of 18 years, Barbara Brock-Buffalo; and sons, Bobby Buffalo and Dickey Buffalo.

He is survived by: his daughter, Janet Buffalo; son, Michael Buffalo and wife Connie Buffalo; step-son, David Brock and his wife Sharon and their family; sister, Betty Buffalo-Brown; grandchildren: Travis Cucinello and his wife Annie Ward-Cucinello, Nick Cucinello and his wife Akie Cucinello, Cory Buffalo, Amanda Buffalo-Craft and her husband Brandon and Adam Buffalo; and great-grandchildren: Francis Ward-Cucinello, Evan Cucinello, Jacob Buffalo, Gracie Buffalo and Logan Buffalo.
