Memorial Services for Alton Laron Lumpkin, Sr., 76, of White Cypress Lakes Community, who passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home, will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Benville Missionary Baptist Church

The Rev. Cedric Lumpkin and The Rev. Willie Tebo will officiate at the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, Miss., he was a Vocational Technical Engineer Teacher at Slidell, La. Alton was a member of Benville Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Paul Lee Lumpkin and Beulah Stockstill Miles; and his brother, Herlon Lumpkin.

Survivors include: his wife, Susan Holifield Lumpkin, the mother of Alton LaRon Lumpkin, Jr.; Shelby Jean Lumpkin, the mother of: the Rev. Cedric Lumpkin and wife Beverly, Cheryl Srock and husband, Douglas, Sandy Gipson and husband Darryl, Kelly Lumpkin and wife Renee, Vern Lumpkin and wife Leann; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his brothers, Hulon Lumpkin and wife Glenda, and Harlie Lee and wife Karleen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
