“Tito”, as he was so fondly called, accepted Christ at an early age in Osyka at Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Houston McEwen. IN 1964 he moved from Osyka to Picayune with his mother and brother where he united with St. Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Jessie James, where he attended Sunday School, was a member of the choir and Cub Scouts. Tito loved his Goodyear Community.

He was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School, Class of 1976. His favorite passion in high school was football and he was both academically and athletically inclined. After high school, he pursued a mortuary degree at Delgado Community College of New Orleans. He was an employee of Crosby Memorial Hospital as a porter, a laborer for the City of Picayune, and a painter for Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula.

Tito ended his most precious journey on Earth on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Dixie White House Nursing Home in Pass Christian, Miss. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Theodore Stallings Sr., Stella Gardner Stallings Buckley; and step-grandfather Arcell Buckley.

Tito will always be remembered for his swagger, friendly attitude and for holding conversations with anyone he came in contact with, especially in Goodyear. Tito’s tender memories will be cherished y: his loyal and devoted mother, Lesser L. Stallings; brother Rufus (Elizabeth) Stallings; nieces, Roshundra Stallings Goss, and Rachel Stallings, all of Picayune; uncle, Marshall (Viola) Stallings of Osyka, and Aunt, Alberta Stallings of Picayune; one great niece, two great-nephews; special friend, Allison Bender Bowling; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
