Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church for Forestine Spiers, 73, of Carriere, who passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Burial will be in the Holliman Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Donnie Boutwell and the Rev. Coy Rice will officiate at the service.

A native of Picayune, she was a Supervisor at Movie Star and she was a member of Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Forrest H. and Ruby E. Spiers; and one brother, Charlie L. Spiers.

Survivors include: her husband, Derwin E. Spiers of Carriere; one daughter, Ruby Diane Upton of Picayune; one son, Phil Edward Spiers of Carriere; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil E. Spiers of Carriere; and one sister, Margaret Lumpkin of Picayune.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the Lee’s Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church.
