A Picayune Police Officer was placed under citizen’s arrest by casino security at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi.

Biloxi Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Jackie Rhodes said Brandon McLemore was placed under citizen’s arrest by casino security for disorderly conduct while at the Beau Rivage Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. McLemore is an officer with the Picayune Police Department.

Apparently McLemore was cursing and carrying on at a night club located at the casino, prompting the security officer to make the citizen’s arrest, Rhodes said.

The incident took place at midnight on May 13, according to Biloxi police records.

Deputy Chief David Ervin with the Picayune Police Department said in instances such as these, the department has a policy to conduct an internal investigation to determine a course of disciplinary action. At press time Ervin could not give further information on the matter other than they would look into the situation.
